Dear Zachary: A Letter To a Son About His Father
This movie is an absolutely tragic tale but such an incredible documentary. One of the most moving films I’ve seen in a long time. I highly recommend it. It’s made by a no-name about the murder of his best friend and what you learn about the circumstances will haunt and change the way you look at the judicial system. Fascinating and heartbreaking, you will not forget this movie.

Valhalla Rising
Valhalla Rising It’s about vikings and christians, kinda. Mostly it’s one awesome viking slave killing people and getting lost in Scandinavia and at sea and in a strange empty land. Maybe like if Gladiator were filmed in the fjords with a budget of about $50,000 and a pretty smart cinematographer.

Gangster #1
Paul Mcguigan’s (Wicker Park, Lucky Number Slevin) brilliant look at a British thug on the rise. In the interest of not being redundant, my brief thoughts on the film here.

Peter & Vandy
Contrasting their now-deteriorating relationship with the sunnier days of blossoming romance, this drama examines all the moments that add up to — for better or worse — a life lived together by Peter (Jason Ritter) and Vandy (Jess Weixler). Jay DiPietro directs this film adaptation of his acclaimed play that explores the beginning, middle and possible end of a love affair.

Exit Through The Gift Shop
It’s streaming on Netflix and one of the best movies I’ve seen this year.  Also, I know you already posted but make sure to watch Joan Rivers’ documentary.  It’s brilliant.

Metropolitan
Whit Stillman’s razor sharp comedy of manners about Manhattan’s Upper East Side bourgeoisie. Stillman’s deadpan humor paved the way for the likes of Wes Anderson and Noah Baumbach. You’ll kick yourself for not having watched this sooner.

Fun to Watch  Amos Lassen  The musical “Adam and Steve Just the Way God Made `Em” is an off-Broadway musical that is just beginning previews. Paul (Daniel Robinson) and Eddie (Joey Dudding) are in the cast and their lives reflect the roles they play. Paul looks for the one perfect man for him and Eddie is dealing with his sexuality and his faith. Paul realizes after a disastrous...
