Happythankyoumoreplease
I was really pleased to see this movie on instant Netflix, because I read about it on IMDb a while ago and really wanted to see it. It did not disappoint!
It’s really sweet and the kid in it is adorable.
I’m terrible at describing movies, but this is a really good one.

Tucker & Dale vs. Evil
“Expecting to relax at their “vacation” cabin, two backwoods boys see their trip turn into a nightmare when they’re accused of being psychotic killers.”
Self aware, most realistic slasher movie in cinematic history. Like every slasher movie, but actually entertaining due to a unique plot motif; there is no psycho hillbilly. Many scenes had my friend and I in...

Battlestar Galactica (2004-2009)
I thought that this would be another slightly corny, tired science fiction thriller TV series. I started watching because it was a recommendation from Netflix on the basis of Doctor Who and Firefly.
What I got was an intense political, anthropological, moralistic, religious analysis of humanity. The science fiction is present, but never obtrusive. The acting is so well done that I don’t...

Buried
It just recently got added to Netflix Instant. It’s only star is Ryan Reynolds and it is directed by Rodrigo Cortes. Ryan Reynolds plays Paul Conroy, an American truck driver in Iraq. His convoy gets attacked and he wakes up inside an old wooden coffin, buried in the desert. Considering the whole 90 minute or so movie is taped inside the coffin, Cortes does a WONDERFUL job with the camera...

The Life Before Her Eyes
An almost suspenseful tear-jerker (and my favorite movie) about two best friends in high school who get trapped in a bathroom along with the boy who happens to be shooting up the school. He says he’s only gonna kill one of them and that they have to decide who.
Which one will they choose?

Limitless
With Bradley Cooper. I’m only half an hour in, but it’s really good so far.
Editor’s Note- I love that you submitted this a half hour into watching. That first half hour of Limitless must be great y’all!

World's Greatest Dad
An indie film that stars Robin Williams! A father, whose son accidentally commits suicide in a most humiliating way, decides to cover it up by publishing a faked suicide note. It becomes a hit and he eventually writes a whole journal for the world to read. Such a great movie and I recommend it to anyone of any age.

Family Ties
I highly recommend (re)watching Family Ties on Netflix streaming. I was surprised how well the show holds up after all these years. I recommend the episode entitled, “Say Uncle” starring Tom Hanks, also the Christmas episode is pretty funny. Just mute the opening credits— that theme song will stick in your head for forever. (Sha-nah-na-naaaah)

Girl, Interrupted
I can see why critics may be quick to regard this film as a cliched and discreetly pretentious melodrama, however this is one of my favorite because Angelina Jolie’s performance is absolutely amazing and each character stands on their own. If you like Sylvia Plath’s The Bell Jar and any literature that runs along the theme of “the depressed suicidal”, then this may be the...

Dogs Decoded (Documentary)
If you’re a dog lover or owner and are interested in learning a bit more about the (as you will find out) even more unique than once thought relationship between dogs and humans, this documentary is totally worth the watch. The documentary discusses the scientific, emotional, and historical bonds that occur exclusively between humans and dogs, as well as the process of domestication. Watch...

Another TV Show That Doesn't Suck
In response to your list of top ten TV shows to watch on Netflix Instant, I wanted to add one of my favorite TV shows that I feel should have made the list.
PARTY DOWN (2009 - 2010) follows the Party Down catering company based in LA as they host a variety of events, from high school reunions to sweet sixteens to NFL draft parties. Every character is trying to do something else with their life,...
Anonymous asked: hey you might want to edit your post on "memento"; it was definitely not Nolan's first film, "following" was and it is available on instant netflix. It is a pretty satisfying low-budget neo-noir.
Anybody know why all the queued posts keep posting...
Also queued was nearly impossible to spell.

Trailer Park Boys
The Trailer Park Boys is a hilarious, original, brilliantly crass tale of mischief in a Nova Scotia trailer park. It’s my favorite show and now it’s all available on Instant!
TPB is nothing like the shows I’m about to mention, but these are other shows I like so you can compare my judgement & taste to yours: Battlestar Galactica, Breaking Bad, Mad Men, Entourage, 30 Rock,...

Gas Hole
This film will make you mad!! It tells the story of Tom Ogle and others that developed technology that allows a car to get over 100 miles per gallon. THIS WAS DEVELOPED IN THE FIRST HALF OF THE 1900s! Oil companies bought the patents and the technology was covered up. We should all watch this movie and figure out a way to get rid of big oil companies.

Pocket Money (L'Argent de Poche/Small Change)
This is a wonderful François Truffaut film that is often overlooked. Pocket Money is all about the world of children, one of Truffaut’s favourite subjects. It is not especially plot-driven as it jumps around between the stories and perspectives of several different children (of varying ages, I might add), but it is exceptionally entertaining all the way through.
This film is really worth...

Boot Camp
Netflix wrongly targets and labels this as a thriller horror movie, but wrongly so. Staring, Mila Kunis, this film is definitely not a teen slasher and is surprisingly good yet very entertaining. It’s about a girl who gets kidnapped and wrongly sent to boot camp in the middle of nowhere. It separates her from the boyfriend who tries to rescue her. My friend and I watched it and enjoyed it...

Sophia Scholl
“A dramatization of the final days of Sophie Scholl, one of the most famous members of the German World War II anti-Nazi resistance movement, The White Rose. “
I accidently found this movie when I was searching for the series, Scrubs! I liked the movie but this movie has a LOT of dialouge. If you are looking for action and whatnot, you probably won’t like this. I like this...

Trees Lounge
Don’t know if anyone has already submitted this, but it was a true gem to be found on netflix instant. A must-see for all Steve Buscemi lovers. When I read the netflix reviews, they varied from people raving over the genuineness and brilliant acting to people complaining about the depressing story of a drunk guy in his bar. From these I figured I would love it, and indeed did. Simply a...

Sweet Land
I have kids and my wife doesn’t like movies that have vulgar language, violence, subtitles, drug use, sex. Pretty much everything that I think is required for a movie to have any substance I end up watching alone at one in the morning. So, it is nice to find movies that have wonderful content that are family friendly. If you find yourself in a similar situation or just want to watch a good...

Insidious
The parents (Patrick Wilson and the ever lovely Rose Byrne) of a comatose young boy find out there is more to their son’s condition than they ever could have expected. The film moves from creeping unrest to thrilling with perfect pace. More than cheap jump scares and with almost no blood and gore, Insidious actually had my heart racing and on the edge of my seat, and I don’t think...

Conan O'Brien Can't Stop
This documentary about Conan’s post-NBC live tour shows a side of him that the public doesn’t normally get to see. He has a darker sense of humor off-camera, and he frequently makes edgy jokes to coworkers and fans, but this movie really exposes the real Conan- the man behind the hair. There are a number of live songs interspersed throughout the movie, and bits of his live show, as...

Luther (British crime series)
It stars Idris Elba, aka Stringer Bell from The Wire, (weird hearing British accent coming outta his mouth) and a wonderful psycho killer femme fatale who plays off him the entire series. Great writing and acting and suspense. Just finished the 6 episodes of the 1st season. Really, really smart stuff.

13 Assassins
While I realize it owes everything to Seven Samurai and there’s nothing surprising in the story, I was so thrilled to see a no-nonsense, classically-styled samurai movie that I forgave the lack of originality. It’s forgivable because the movie is richly detailed, finely acted, and single-minded of purpose. It stands up to Japan’s greatest films, and the climactic battle...

Fish Tank
The best thing about this movie is the characters are not black and white. The movie is shown through the eyes of a delinquent teenage girl named Mia. Michael Fassbender is brilliant as the charming boyfriend Mia’s neglectful Mother brings home one day. He shows Mia a kindness she has never received before and she struggles to understand it. There’s a voyeuristic quality as nothing...

Christopher Nolan's 'Memento'
It was made in 2000 yet still exhibits a fresh form of story-telling. The film follows Leonard (Guy Pearce), a man that suffers from short term memory loss, as he investigates his wife’s murder.
The film’s unique structure and use of classic film noir elements make it Nolan’s best film as well as one of the best films in recent history.

9 Dead
9 Dead is definitely the best instant movie on Netflix that i have ever seen. its kinda like the saw movies but way better. A short summary is that a guy kidnaps 9 people and puts them in a room together and they have to find out why they are all there. also he kills one of them every 10 minutes. this movie is very suspenseful and there is a big twist at the end that you don’t even see...
